Yasaka A-1 is hard rubber. That is rubber without a sponge base. If you are ready for the extra speed of sponge then going up to Yasaka Rakza PO would make sense. If you want a step up with smooth rubber the STIGA Evo 1 is probably the closest to Yasaka A-1.
