The difference between an anatomic and flared is sometimes called a double flare versus a single flare. Anatomic handles are similar to a flared handle but with an extra widening region in the middle. Some players prefer this handle for better grip to fit the contours of the hand. Below are a flared, anatomic and straight handle.
